“Risco’ is an exhibition that emerges from the friction between body, gesture and drawing, based on the investigation of gesture as a central performative and visual element in Carla Chaim’s work. Here, drawing is not limited to its condition of representation, but asserts itself as a tangible trace of an action that is inscribed in time and space, reverberating as the trail of a body that was once there.

From a perspective that brings together artistic practice and critical thinking, the exhibition proposes a shift of drawing to the field of performance, understanding it as a medial inscription – between the visual and the corporeal – in which muscle memory, movement and presence are condensed.
